SABER became operational on January 8, 2002, and remained in Data Collection (DC) mode during 2013 except for the periods noted below.
- May 17 - TIMED demoted to SAFE
- 16 May 13:57 - TIMED demoted to SAFE.
- 16 May 22:54 - SABER returns to DC.
